HANGING ON FAITH
You pray day in, & day out
But, the only voice you hear
Is coming from your mouth
But, you have nothing to fear
Cuz this is the evidence
Of the only thing you see
The power of silence
That you were taught to believe
Doesn’t matter what I say
Cuz that has always been clear
They got you hanging on faith
Who am I, to say it’s wrong
If that’s what it will take
To make us black people strong.
